It feels like it has been far too long since we have communicated with our fellow crafters, followers, and fans. I went through our list of blog posts and found that Cutoff Crafts has been very quiet. How crazy is that?!?!
Well our craziness hasn't been in vain. We have actually been extremely busy making new items and preparing them for the digital world! What exactly does that mean? It means we have listed items on our Etsy store!
At this moment there are several listings featuring some of our most creative and beautiful earrings made in the mountains of Northern Idaho by Michelle. Each earring is made of individually chosen beads carefully selected to balance and compliment each other. She then gently wraps each head pin to make sure everything stays secure for years to come. Yes, she hand wraps each pin with a set of specialty pliers and amazing skill.
The Pearls of the Deep earring set showcases this amazing wrapping skill. They feature black pearls and Miyuki glass beads. Miyuki glass beads are handmade on the Japanese island of Honshu. The pearls are freshwater pearls from the pearl mussel (Hyriopsis Cumingii).
Going from underwater to outer space, our Etsy store also contains galactic earrings. These earring are my favorites featuring troopers inspired by Star Wars Stormtroopers. These white enamel charms of armor clad soldiers make me hum the Imperial March every time I see them. Duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh duh! (It sounds cooler in my head.) Like all our earrings, these are on shepherd hooks that are nickel free sterling silver (.925). So this Empire can concentrate on controlling the galaxy and not destroying your ears.
Be sure to check out our store and see all our recent listings. Michelle is working hard to get more earrings and other jewelry items listed and I will be adding crochet items as well. So much awesomeness is happening!
