This is an absolutely iconic kind of craft fair. Valley Vista Ranch never fails to share the absolute best of country living with everyone who comes by. There will be live music, delicious fresh cooked food, giant inflatable bounce houses, actual pony rides on super sweet ponies, and even classic hay rides!
The forecast calls for gorgeous blue skies with an idyllic high of 77-80 degrees. It will be perfect weather for strolling through the fields of local artists and crafters selling their wares. I’ll be popping by to see if I can’t nab some early Christmas gifts for my family. My sister loved the sign I gave her that says, “I still remember the days I prayed, for the things I have now,” and hung it in her living room. There will be vendors selling their incredible jam, honey, candies, fudge, sauces, and more that they made with their traditional cooked recipes. Many of those recipes have been passed down for generations!
Last year I was surprised to see a gentleman that made stunning carved wooden bowls and cutting boards. Those are definitely on my shopping list this year. I will also be hunting to see if I can find someone selling fresh-pressed apple cider!
I am grateful that Jan Reid and her family have once again opened their doors to the local community, and everyone passing by, to share the utter delight of a harvest festival and an honest to goodness Fall Craft Fair. It is completely free to attend. Parking is provided for free in a massive open field. Be sure and come up to Cocolalla, Idaho, for the Valley Vista Fall Craft Fair. It’s easy to spot. The massive red barn with the large letters proclaiming it the “Valley Vista Ranch” is easily visible from Highway 95 on the way to Sandpoint.
